This is it! The time has come for our final UCI ra

This is it! The time has come for our final UCI race as DNA. We announced that we are retiring the team this year and would finish out strong, this is a promise we intend to keep. The Tour of Gatineau has been one of our favorite races - have raced it 5 times!! Thanks to the organizers for the invitations and each excellent edition. We believe this is a very important race for our side of the sport as the only UCI x.1 rated race for women in North America.19 teams will be attending with 107 riders from all over the world. Final Stage Tour L’Ardeche - @sarahmvandam 4th & @nadiagontova 10th. In the General Classifications, Nadia finished 8th & SVD in 9th. To have two riders in the Top 10 GC at our final UCI 2.1 stage race as DNA in Europe means the 🌎. So proud of our squad. Nadia went solo off the front from about 7km to go and set up SVD for the final sprint - Nadia almost made it to the line which was exciting but at 200m to go she was caught and SVD was sprinting up the final kicker in 3rd place only to be pipped at the line. Finishing just off the podium stings but we are SO PROUD. @shaynapowless & @sara_poido did an amazing job following our strategy for our GC riders. Hope it was captured for the YouTube recap because it was soooooo good you guys!Our Team Owner / DS @cottonsox_ after discussing -learning from the day before- conserving energy, making moves, taking chances & giving it everything to not have any regrets… ended the meeting with, “I’m not ok with pretty good, I want great. We can do great things as DNA today - LFG!” … and the riders did just that 🥹. @krauwerda & @carbike unfortunately DNF’d in Stage 5 - they are both ok. Kaitlyn toughed it out every day and worked for her teammates despite not being 100% since racing in Colombia & @carbike made a few road inspections during the slick rainy stage 2 which amplified fatigue & made recovery a bit more challenging - she continued to race like a rockstar that she is in stages 3 & 4 but the Queen Stage took it to the next level & Diana (and Kaitlyn) abandoned the race. Kaitlyn, Shayna, SVD and Nadia will race @tourdegatineau next while Diana will race the ITT and RR representing 🇨🇴 at @uci_cycling Road Worlds Championship 🌈. Today’s stage was the last race for Poido with DNA and we want to take a second to thank her for being our amazing road captain!! Last but not least - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our champion, Diana!!
