For the last three years, Kaitlyn has been one of our most dependable team players - she is not only athletically gifted and has the skills, but she is into numbers & is a techie, earning her the nickname “Data” on our team. We will definitely be following her as she continues her growth as a professional cyclist. Cynisca: We’re thrilled to announce Kaitlyn Rauwerda as the newest rider to join Cynisca for the 2025 season 🌟 Kaitlyn is a versatile rider known for her opportunistic racing style. She thrives in breakaways where her ability to gauge the perfect moment and capitalize on race dynamics has made her a a breakaway specialist. 💥 After winning a stage at Vuelta Colombia last year and taking the overall victory at Speedweek, Kaitlyn is ready to bring her skills to the next level and race a full season in Europe. 🚴 🌍 Kaitlyn shares: “It’s been great to watch how Cynisca has provided an avenue for North American riders to further develop racing in Europe over the past few years. We are super proud of both of them battling for the 🌈 in a super competitive field of about 130 elite women! Next on gravel for the two is our last hurrah for the team - @powlessgranfondo! Two of our riders will race for the 🌈 at UCI Gravel World Championships in Belgium on October 5th, 2024 - @krauwerda 🇨🇦 & @shaynapowless 🇺🇸! The 134km race will take them from Halle to Leuven, navigating the challenging terrain of the Brabant Forest. Their race through the Belgian National Park will take them on beautiful unpaved gravel roads, monumental trees, and steep climbs along the hollow roads. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication with the team this season & hope Kaitlyn and Shayna enjoy this one last incredible experience on the world’s stage. This year has been particularly remarkable as she balanced her Olympic track ambitions with @cyclingcanadaofficial 🇨🇦 alongside road racing for DNA securing podiums at both @tourdelardeche.tcfiaofficiel and @tourdegatineau. Another podium & 2 in the Top 10 at Le Tour de Gat
Another podium & 2 in the Top 10 at Le Tour de Gatineau Road Race yesterday 💕 Our DNA squad, Liv AlUla Jayco & Ceratizit-WNT made the race fast & hard over the 3 hours of racing (117.7km - 104 starters, 62 finishers) It was an incredibly punchy race on 12 laps of a technical and tight 10km urban circuit. Our riders gave it their all and finished this race with no regrets, the team effort netted a 🥉 for @sarahmvandam and best Canadian Rider (Shayna finished 8th). It was also great to see @marliesmejiasgarcia (@teamtwenty24 ) getting 🥈 on the day. So cool to see the two US Conti teams representing in this international UCI 1.1 Road Race.
